FLECS 3.6.0-Hedgehog: Introducing Micro-Service Architecture to Automation

Release FLECS V3.6.0

December 20, 2024

Release Overview

The Micro Service Architecture, a concept well-established in the IT world, is now making its way into automation, and FLECS is leading the charge. With the release of FLECS Version 3.6.0-Hedgehog, we are proud to introduce Multi-Image Apps, pushing the boundaries of innovation in industrial automation.

What does this mean? Your app can now consist of multiple Docker images, while FLECS automatically handles all dependencies and installation processes behind the scenes. For users, the simplicity remains: you still manage a single app without needing to worry about the underlying complexity. Of course, our existing apps remain fully compatible, continually updated, and easy to manage.
